About
About Wollemi Group
Wollemi Group does building, building surveying and civil works, from Maribyrnong in Melbourne's west.
Why Wollemi
The Wollemi pine was known only from fossils millions of years old. In 1994 a national parks officer, David Noble, found a stand of living trees in a canyon in Wollemi National Park, west of Sydney. In the 2019–20 bushfires, firefighters protected that last wild stand, and most of the mature trees survived.
We named the business after it because it lasts. That's what we want from every job we build.
How we work
From the ground up
Building and civil works, including stormwater, drainage and concrete, so jobs are planned from the ground up.
We know the rules
A registered building surveyor on the team. On our own builds, the design meets the rules before the plans go to the independent surveyor. On other people's jobs, we issue the permit.
Built for everyone
Accessible design is part of how we build, from an NDIS bathroom conversion to a stepless front entry.
